CCP North America is looking for a talented individual to be a part of the creative team working on the groundbreaking MMO title, World of Darkness. This particular opening requires that the candidate be motivated, possess excellent communication skills, and has the ability to work well with a cross-disciplinary group.
The Technical Artist will work closely with engineering, art, and design and will be responsible for understanding and maintaining art production pipelines, the game data structure, to help refine work flow throughout the life of the project. The primary task of this employee will be addressing areas of the game that need both a technical touch and an artistic eye. The Technical Artist will be called upon to support art and level design staff, create prototypes and test data, write documentation, tools and systems, while working with engineering and art on design and implementation.implementation.

Major responsibilities include:
Software development of in-house asset pipelines
Coding support of Tools and Processes for:
Environment Art
Level Design
Work closely with programmers to support changes to Rendering, Lighting, and other systems

Experience Requiredtop

Skills and Experience:
3+ years professional game development experience
Must have shipped at least one AAA title
Proven ability to:
Multitask and prioritize competing demands
Follow through on details
Communicate complex ideas across disciplines effectively
Implement complex and abstract solutions in code
Strong problem solving abilities
Deep knowledge of Art Concepts and their practical applications
Solid understanding of game creation processes & dependencies
Broad awareness of the range of technical problems effecting 3D Art production
Experience with Maya, polygonal modeling, rendering and animation
Scripting skills (Python, Mel, MaxScript, JavaScript, and/or Lua)
3D math (basic linear algebra) knowledge is preferred
Game modding or level design experience preferred
Familiarity with modern Level editing Tools preferred
Experience with C++ preferred
