Description of Duties :

-A manager level position that manages the design and development of game software. Also, manages a small group of engineers.
-Manages and coordinates an engineering unit / team / project.
-Reviews and approves software code developed by the team.
-Sets technical direction for assigned products.
-Recommends and determines time, budget and software functionality trade-offs.
-Applies professional expertise to review, analyze and test products under development as a contributing member of a production team to ensure delivery of -Nintendo's high standard of quality and timeliness.
--Oversees and manages supervisors and individual contributors in the attainment of short-term objectives for assigned work group / team.
-May take engineering lead in a project.
-Sets and executes operating objectives for assigned section.
-May provide input into short-term objectives for assigned work group / team.
-Solves problems that require both general and specific engineering knowledge.
-Ineracts with direct reports and peers in management / clients.
-Communicates to receive and transmit semi-complex information.
-Resolves engineering conflicts in assigned team.
-Provide advice and mentor other engineers.

Summary of Requirements:

-Strong all-around programming skills; good understanding of interactive entertainment methodologies and production pipeline; good organizational and communication skills
-Undergraduate degree in software engineering or related field; or equivalent education and experience.
-Typically has 5 or more years of experience with 3 or more years of team lead experience.
-Fast-paced environment with fluctuating production requirements; may be necessary to change specific duties, projects or schedule on short notice; weekend and holiday work may be required; domestic and international travel may be required.
-Participation in company-wide activities such as product review, analysis and testing as required.
