Unreal Game Engine Developer

Award winning CG studio Axis Animation is looking to hire a motivated and experienced Unreal Game Engine Developer as part of a major operational expansion in 2014.

 

This is a fantastic opportunity for the right candidate to play a key role in the technical development of a dynamic and growing company, with a strong history of innovation and creative excellence. The successful applicant will join a great team of artists, producers, developers and directors, all highly focused on producing outstanding work.

 

We’re looking for someone who can bring and communicate their knowledge of Unreal to our CG teams and help spearhead our technical expansion into the games industry.

 

We’re especially interested in hearing from developers with real time rendering experience as well as more traditional ‘pre-rendered’ CG pipelines.

 

The role is a contract position, on site, in our brand new, purpose built Glasgow studio. Glasgow is very much the creative hub of Scotland’s digital production industry, and as well as numerous bars, restaurants, cafes and a thriving cultural scene, offers easy access to some of Europe’s most stunning natural scenery.

 

Skills/experience required :

 

  • Unreal production use and tools development

  • Unity/Cryengine preferred but not essential

  • Real time rendering preferred but not essential

  • Maya/Houdini beneficial - general production use and/or tools development

  • C, C++ programming.

  • Fluency with Mel/Ruby/PHP/other scripting languages.

  • OpenGL/DirectX programming or application development.

  • Database applications/familiarity with SQL.
