As a speech engineer at Rosetta Stone, you'll be helping to develop our next generation of speech-aware learning products. Your work will encompass the whole scope of application development, including speech research, voice interface design, application prototyping, and development of our proprietary on-device speech recognition engine.
Our unified speech SDK supports over 30 human languages with 7 programming languages on 8 different platforms, so there's always an opportunity to learn something new.
Our position is full-time and located in our Boulder, CO office.
Job Profile Summary
•Evaluate speech experiences using curated and live application data.
•Integrate state of the art acoustic modeling, language modeling, and high-performance search methods into our on-device speech recognition engine.
•Support integration of the speech SDK into existing and new products.
•Implement new speech experiences for in-development products.
•M.Sc. in Computer Science or Electrical Engineering or B.Sc. with 5+ years of relevant experience.
•High proficiency in C++.
•Experience with data-driven statistical or machine learning methods.
•Enjoys a highly collaborative environment with minimal supervision.
Nice to have:
•Experience with automatic speech recognition and/or natural language processing systems.
•Familiarity with linguistic phonetics.
•Knowledge of basic digital signal processing techniques for audio.
•Experience with software engineering best practices including unit testing, continuous integration, and source control.
