Senior Quality Assurance Analyst

Xaviant is looking for a talented individual to join the creative team working on multiple upcoming projects. This opening requires a candidate with a strong drive for results, action-oriented mindset, and excellent problem-solving skills.

In this position, you will be a critical success factor in one or more key systems of a game in development, providing objective quality assessments, subjective feedback on features in development, and representing the player’s perspective as features are created, iterated, and delivered.

So who are we looking for?

Someone who is:

·         Educated: You possess a Bachelor’s Degree in a related field, or have equivalent on-the-job experience.

·         Analytical: You have experience analyzing the product and existing bugs to predict and prioritize risk. You can manipulate the bug database to find information and insights others might miss.

·         Organized: You practice relentless prioritization to ensure your finite time is spent productively attacking a virtually limitless testing surface.

·         Experienced: You draw on previous experience and insight to advocate for the issues that matter, zoom in on the scary problem hiding behind the innocuous repro, and guide developers to avoid problems at the design and early implementation phases rather than ‘bug-fix our way to good’ afterwards.

·         A Gamer: You bring and effectively represent the player’s perspective whenever and wherever it is needed.

What does the Senior QA Analyst Do?

·         Assess, report, and continually drive for improvement of features, functionality, and fun in multiple areas of a game, from early development through and beyond launch.

·         Plan test coverage across a variety of techniques and methods including functional, integration, compatibility and scenario testing.

·         Communicate quality status and associated risks to QA and project leadership.

·         Develop, maintain, and continuously improve best practices in testing, bug reporting and tracking, and analysis.
