Research Associate in Games Programming/Gamification

Salary: from £34,953 to £38,984 pa incl LW

You will play a lead technical and research role in an exciting and dynamic team across Goldsmiths and Imperial College working on a major games development project, delivering a fun to play game underpinned with valuable science.


You are a games or graphics programmer from the games or special effects industries, or academia, who thrives on exciting interactive and computer graphics problems. You will have the ability to be largely self-motivated as the primary coder on the games development side of the collaboration with leading experts from Imperial who handle the Bioinformatics part of this project.

You will have experience working with 3D systems, including games maths, User Interfaces, and graphics from working in the Games or Interactive Entertainment Industries or Academia; possessing strong programming skills in C++ (or equivalent languages) as well as OpenGL, OpenCL or similar.

You will have large scale commercial or research based software testing experience; and will have strong experience of PC Development and Mobile development for Android and IOS. It is also desirable you have developed User Interfaces, including Web and 3D interfaces.

You will have an Honours Degree (or equivalent) in Computer Science, or other related discipline. You should also either have a PhD, or relevant industry experience in computer games.
