Project Manager

TIC TOC GAMES is looking for a Project Manager! As a Project Manager, you are the go-to person for information for all projects assigned to you within the studio. You will work closely with internal developers, both technical and non-technical alike, and external parties to ensure each project is delivered on time and to our quality standards. You will also lead people to their true, great potential while having fun in this fast-paced environment known as the game industry.

 

YOU ARE:

  • A Leader: You lead by example as well as mentor and coach other team members to ensure growth within the company

  • An Excellent Communicator: You are the voice of the project and will need to effectively communicate project status at any point in the development cycle to internal or external teams in person, on email or on the phone (hopefully, not all at the same time!)

  • A Problem Solver: Let’s be honest, game development has a lot of moving pieces! You can identify risks early and often while offering suggestions on how to clear roadblocks that are currently in front of your development team, even if it takes multiple paths to one potential solution

Responsibilities

  • Collaborate with product owners and lead programmers in creation of project and milestone schedules, resourcing plans and overall development plans while providing leadership and management through full product life cycle of a project

  • Work closely with internal development team, ranging from artists, programmers and QA, to deliver high quality games on time

  • Manage multiple projects while remaining flexible enough to accommodate change at any moment

  • Set clear goals daily for the production team and hold team members accountable for deliverables while simultaneously rewarding and recognizing team members for strong performance

  • Create an environment that encourages continuous feedback, support and empowerment

  • Own the quality of user-experience

 

Skills/Qualifications

  • Bachelor’s Degree or higher education degree preferred

  • At least 3+ years in a Product Management, Product Planning or Producer role with hands-on experience driving product strategy, product definition and prioritization

  • Manage and motivate a team of artists, designers, and programmers as well as maintain positive relationships with external business partners and their teams

  • Detailed-oriented, organized and able to work well both independently and collaboratively with specific follow through on all actions items resulting from meetings and/or direction from the production team or external business partners

  • Deep understanding of product plans and development schedule that generates high quality work efficiently and on budget; drive clear results and business outcomes

  • Basic knowledge in SCRUM or Agile development methodologies

  • Basic knowledge in project management tools, including but not limited to: JIRA, GreenHopper, Confluence, Excel, Microsoft Project, etc.

  • Exhibit strong management and conflict resolutions skills

  • Strong interpersonal and problem solving skills

 

Pluses

  • Certified SCRUM Master and/or Product Owner
