Product Manager

Are you ready to get in the game? Join us at Demiurge and help us shape our online videogames!  We’re working on titles in the mobile and PC gaming spaces with millions of players, daily updates, and a constant stream of data that’s just waiting for you.  Who are you? You’re a data hound with a nose for games. You’re excited about working with designers, artists and engineers to define features that will make our players smile with delight. You also have the brains and insights required to tune those features so they’re balanced for gameplay and are profitable. You know how to keep an eye on the bottom line and can make cost/worth tradeoff decisions. You thrive on a creative, multidisciplinary development environment with small teams, deep talent, and high energy.

Responsibilities of a Product Manager at Demiurge:

  • Shape the overall playability and success of a videogame

  • Define the analytic needs for videogame products then execute and disseminate the results

  • Plan and lead A/B testing efforts

  • Tune or pivot (or leave untouched!) game features based on your analyses

  • Work with and influence the project’s Development Director to prioritize future work

  • Work with and influence the project’s Executive Producer to steer feature focus

  • Represent your players and the game’s bottom line with enthusiastic empathy


Skills & Experience:

  • Superior data analysis skills using solution providers (e.g. Mixpanel, Kontagent, Localytics) and software tools (e.g. Tableau & Excel)

  • Preference to applicants with 3+ years of experience in product management for digital consumer products, web services, or videogames

  • Able to rally and motivate people with outstanding written and oral communication skills

  • High attention to detail. Ridiculously high.

  • Insatiable curiosity and drive to improve a product.  A love for the phrase “I wonder what would happen if...”

  • Able to digest and incorporate input from an array of sources - analytics, forums, customer service, QA

  • Experience working within a multidiscplinary team as a developer or manager

  • Understanding of what leads to retention, engagement, revenue, and profit in a free product

  • Up to date and excited about industry trends in the free-to-play market

  • BS or BA degree. Double bonus points for an MBA.
