Lead Mobile Game Designer


Nuclear Division is a mobile games start up founded by industry veterans located in the San Fernando Valley area of Los Angeles, CA. We are currently seeking a proven Lead Designer who will work to develop original IP and define the vision for our games. This is a rare and exciting opportunity to be on the ground level of a new company and create the next wave of fun and dynamic mobile games. Join our team and see your vision come to life!


Responsibilities:


Manage the creative processes and design team

Develop, document, communicate, and implement overall design for a series of games

Build a game framework to support a multiplayer gaming community

Balance gameplay systems across a complex gaming universe

Evaluate design documentation

Identify risk areas, gameplay quality, challenge ramp and reward mechanisms

Establish appropriate design solutions to work within the free-to-play revenue models

Use your knowledge of best-practices within the mobile, social and casual marketplace to implement internal best pratices


Requirements:


Proven game design experience conceiving and successfully implementing original game mechanics within the mobile social and casual game space

Strong mathematical and analytical skills to facilitate quality game designs, monetization strategies and overall fun-to-play

3+ years of system design experience

Shipped successful AAA titles as a designer

Player-centric focus

In-tune with the casual and mid-core gaming demographic

Able to adapt to ever-changing market conditions

Able to lead the vision for the game

Comfortable with working with a diverse team of professionals in a high-performance work environment

Experienced in level design and scripting

Self-starter

A gamer
