Lead Game Engineer


Nuclear Division is a mobile games start up founded by industry veterans located in the San Fernando Valley area of Los Angeles, CA. This is a rare and exciting opportunity to be on the ground level of a new company and create the next wave of fun and dynamic mobile games. The Lead Game Engineer position will be responsible for development of a mobile game through all facets of production - from initial concept, prototyping, full production and post-launch live services. Additionally, the position will manage the game studio's engineering resources focused on AAA streamlined mobile experiences as well as evaluate and implement both proprietary and 3rd party technology and middleware.




- Write clean, innovative code. - Write technical documentation. - Work closely with design and production teams to define feature specs. - Build games and applications for a tight ecosystem of related titles. - Develop, debug and optimize tools, systems and pipelines for maximum efficiency. - Mentor other developers in efforts to create the best games possible.




- 5+ years of experience and at least 2 shipped mobile titles. - Computer science or other degree relevant to game development, or equivalent experience. - Experience with Unity, Cocos2D-X, and mobile platforms. - Proficient in C++ and strong in other languages such as C#, Objective-C or Javascript. - Experience with games middleware and SDK development. - Experience with localized and cross-platform product development. - Previous development for both for iOS and Android. - In-depth knowledge of OpenGL, 2D and 3D math, physics and AI. - A passion for making the best games.


Great to have: - Deep understanding of game development tools and technologies. - Ability to rapidly prototype new concepts and ideas. - Familiarity with Scrum and agile development techniques. - Experience with game design and development.
