Linden is looking for a Lead Engineer to join our New Products development group.  You will be leading a group of engineers working on our iOS game Blocksworld  (http://play.blocksworld.com/).  We work in a fast-paced environment on a live game with a very active user-base.  There is always lots to do and the engineering team is looking for someone to not only direct the team, but actively write code as well.  Help chart the technical path of the game as it continues to grow and expand!

What you’ll do:

  • Lead and participate in design discussions
  • Write and deploy highly performant, reliable code
  • Collaborate with other engineers in an iterative, agile development environment with a focus on shipping code and achieving practical results
  • Participate in code reviews, whiteboard discussions, standups, and pair-programming on a daily basis
  • Provide day-to-day technical leadership in a collaborative fashion within the team, as well as across the company
  • Mentor and guide junior engineers
  • Work closely with design and production to schedule feature development, maintenance tasks and whatever else needs to get done

Required Skills:

  • Strong experience with Objective-C and C#
  • Have previously shipped iOS game(s)
  • Strong sense of design - you know when and where to make trade-offs in order to ship quality code on time
  • Have worked on live products that demand a flexible attitude and the ability to prioritise and manage time effectively

 Bonus points:

  • Have served as a lead engineer on a game team
  • C++ experience
  • Previous game industry experience
  • Experience with Unity
