Game Producer

Demiurge is looking for a producer with an eye for minutiae and the ability to juggle concurrent tasks gracefully. Our ideal candidate has the ability to shape our next title and can inspire the team to make it real. With unparalleled organizational skills and the memory of an elephant, a producer at Demiurge will be a leader, a visionary and committed to producing games of the highest quality.

As a growing studio we're looking for producers who are excited about developing and implementing new processes, and who have the foresight to see and prevent problems before they happen.

Our producers are asked to protect schedules and budgets, communicate with clients, and shepherd games into the hands of our customers. Perhaps most importantly, they are responsible for ensuring that the development process is an enjoyable, rewarding experience for our valued employees.

Responsibilities

  • Lead a team of stellar developers through an enjoyable, rewarding development experience
  • Make hard decisions about what's critical to a game's success and what is not
  • Develop accurate staffing plans, budgets, schedules and milestone definitions
  • Improve existing production processes and invent new ways of making great games
  • Track project status, identify potential problems and generally keep projects on track

Qualifications

  • Involved in the production department of 2+ shipped titles
  • Experience managing and leading teams of game developers

Preference to applicants with

  • Experience managing agile development processes
  • Experience managing and coordinating external resources
  • A strange, somewhat perverse love of Excel, Project, and/or Visio
  • Little tolerance for nonsense
  • Outside interests!
