Digital Media- Game Design Faculty

Description:  Teach game design in new Digital Media major area of study with concentrations in the history and theory of games, table top game design, electronic game design art, motion graphics, visual effects, and 3D design and modeling. Teach courses at sophomore, junior and senior level: Digital Media major studio, History and Theory of Games, Game Design 1 & 2, Game Design Project. Participating in building Game Design courses within the Digital Media department. Teaching responsibilities include writing curriculum, syllabi, teaching, practical exercise, critiques and grading.


Requirements for the Position:

  • creativity and art skills in Game Design with some years of practical experience.
  • knowledge of relevant hardware
  • knowledge of software programs including Adobe Creative Suite, editing software, and Maya animation software for both PC and Apple platforms
  • familiarity with game engine environments such as Unity 3D or UDK
  • JAVA and processing


Education and Experience Requirements:

  • MFA or equivalent degree or equivalent professional experience in game design
  • professional experience in game design; teaching experience desired
  • professional achievements in the field of Game Design
