Development Operations Engineer

SUMMARY OF POSITION
Warner Bros. Games Inc. seeks a Development Operations Engineer for the WBG San Francisco Platform department. As a Development Operations Engineer, you will play a central role in the Studios game development efforts, live operations of our games as well as interfacing with other Studios and service providers.
 
This position requires close collaboration with members of the Studio as well as other members of the Platform team to help define how we develop and release our games. In this position you will have the opportunity to set the standard for all aspects of live operations.Insert summary of position

JOB RESPONSIBILITIES

  • System Administration and Monitoring.
  • Development (scripting and automating).
  • Performance optimization.
  • Documentation.

JOB REQUIREMENTS

  • At least 4 years of SRE experience.
  • Supported at least 2 mobile/social titles.
  • Experience with Cloud based hosting.
  • Database schema design (Relational / Document based).
  • Scalability techniques for cloud environments .
  • Ability to write scripts (Python, Java Script, bash, Windows Powershell, etc.).
  • Expert knowledge of Linux (CentOS).
  • Strong knowledge of network devices (L2, L3, L4, L7 switches), Firewall+VPN.
  • Configuration and troubleshooting of networking and services such as AD/LDAP, Apache/nginx, Repository server knowledge (Perforce, Git, SVN).
  • Data storage knowledge (SAN, IP SAN and NAS).
  • NoSQL knowledge (MongoDB preferred).
  • Extensive experience working with internal and externally developed code.
  • Extensive experience with self-testing to minimize and fix issues.
  • Documentation / Presentation skills.
  • Strong performance optimization experience.
  • Strong problem solving / debugging skills.
  • Ability to work unsupervised.
