Hi, Blizzard recruiting here. If you’re reading this, chances are good you’re a recruiter, so let’s talk a little shop. We want to find the right recruiter to join us here in Irvine at Blizzard HQ to support artistic staffing initiatives for our in-game, cinematics, and creative development teams. This begs the natural question: 

“What’s different?”

 

Honestly, to an experienced recruiter the nuts and bolts are about what you’d expect. Beyond managing job openings across multiple disciplines (including art and production management), you’ll drive the end-to-end creative staffing process and ensure a superior candidate experience throughout. You’ll work closely with hiring managers to define and qualify position requirements, generate and post job descriptions, and implement proactive recruitment strategies. You’ll source and evaluate candidates, and facilitate the interview and candidate selection process. Of course, you’ll also be a close-working partner with the whole recruitment team, helping to actively reinforce talent-scouting efforts, knowledge sharing, and leveling up our service to our groups.

 

Successfully recruiting within a passionate and creative environment takes a blend of listening and responsiveness, and an appreciation for the artistic temperament and for gaming culture in general. Take a look at the sheer array of our other openings and you’ll see we need someone able to present an understanding of not only a variety of artistic disciplines and concepts, but various production cycles and workflows as well.

Requirements

  • Bachelor’s degree in an applicable field of study, or equivalent work experience
  • A minimum of 3 years’ hands-on creative recruiting experience, preferably in-house at a video game, entertainment, or other creative / design-focused environment
  • Exceptional research, organizational, and analytical skills
  • Experience using applicant tracking systems, and / or project tracking software
  • Effective multi-tasking and time management skills
  • Able to maintain a client-focused demeanor, even under high volume demands
  • Able to exercise independent judgment and discretion, and maintain extreme confidentiality
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office with particularly strong Excel skills

Pluses

  • Passion for gaming and gaming culture
  • In-depth knowledge of the video game, animation, visual effects, comics, related disciplines and industries
  • In-depth knowledge of graphic design, web / online and mobile design, and related disciplines and industries
  • Demonstrated knowledge of OFCCP requirements
  • Understanding of immigration regulations
