Job Description:
The Marketing and Sales teams are critical to the success of any game. The Marketing team works closely with game developers to ensure the game has a clear design and a clear ‘X’ factor, (i.e., the defining element of the game that makes it unique and the ultimate reason behind why our customers should pay for and play our game). The Marketing team identifies the key audience for our games and tailors the marketing strategy to communicate clearly to the intended target. The Sales team is responsible for making sure the game reaches all relevant distribution points, so that our customers can find our games at their favorite shopping destinations.

Role Overview:

Senior Product Manager – New Horizons, Casual Entertainment Label

A strong self-starter with experience identifying emerging market and consumer trends and developing new products and marketing campaigns targeting these consumers. Candidates should have solid business acumen, entrepreneurial spirit and cross functional leadership skills.

Job Responsibilities:/b>

  • Work with Senior Marketing Director to identify new and emerging markets, categories and consumers and develop these opportunities into product franchises for aggressive revenue growth
  • Work with the Senior Marketing Director to develop and execute the Franchise Marketing Plan, which includes product positioning, target market identification and analysis, volume forecasting, budgeting, category & competitive analysis and pricing analysis.
  • Work with the Senior Marketing Director to develop and execute all aspects the Product Marketing Plan, which includes product positioning, target market identification and analysis, forecasting, budgeting, category & competitive analysis and pricing analysis
  • Work with development team to define product positioning, feature sets and licensing applications
  • Manage multiple product launches on an annual basis
  • Use sales databases to identify trade and consumer trends and provide Studio (producer/exec producer/Studio GM) with quarterly Sales & Marketing Review
  • Work with Consumer Marketing teams (Advertising, Graphic Design, PR, etc…) to develop all consumer marketing materials.
  • Work with trade marketing dept to develop retailer promotions and trade advertising
  • Create and manage asset calendar to meet all Marketing and PR milestones.
  • Drive the development of key assets including screen shots, game footage, visual renders, sizzle videos, and b-roll
  • Drive the organization and distribution of assets to marketing and PR partners through internal intranet site: TEAMS
  • Manage the preparation and onsite support for sales meetings, trade shows, press events, and consumer launch events
  • Be a specialist about EA's and competitions products within the product category
  • Develop and manage research plan, including focus groups, surveys and post analysis information sharing
  • Gather market data to measure effectiveness of marketing activities and maintain monthly buzz metrics
  • Manage the daily execution of marketing campaign responsibilities
  • Potential to manage a direct and in-direct report(s)

Skills / Core competency:

  • Proven ability to strategically identify new opportunities based on cultural, consumer, market, and industry trends
  • Innovative thinking to reach consumers with marketing campaigns, product launches and promotional efforts
  • Ability to apply critical thinking and analysis to projects / workflow in addition to problems
  • Excellent, consistent verbal and written communication skills
  • Proven launch experience
  • Ability to plan and execute product launch strategy
  • Proven ability to manage multiple projects/marketing plans
  • Ability to work with the Studio and Publishing Execs on business planning

Qualifications:

  • 5+ years product marketing experience in gaming, entertainment, consumer products ideally focusing on music.
  • Development and execution of innovative new product offerings
  • Ownership of innovative or well known products from leading brands – preferably in the video game industry but not a must
  • Marketing degree or equivalent combination of education and experience
  • Excellent creative and strategic thinking
  • Strong analytical skills
  • Proven success leading creative teams and negotiating deals
  • Self-Motivated Individual
  • Strong oral and written communication skills
  • Ability to manage projects on schedule and within budget
  • Ability to work autonomously and exploit market opportunities
  • New product or line launch experience a must
