The Sony Digital Authoring Center is a world-class facility providing the best in 4K, Blu-ray and DVD technology, quality, and services. Since 2009 LOOT Entertainment division has been developing games and applications for PlayStation, iOS and Android platforms.

The Software Engineer will be responsible for developing games and applications on various platforms, including but not limited to, PlayStation®3, PlayStation®4, PlayStation®Vita, iOS and Android for North America, Europe, Japan and Asia territories. The position is located in Culver City, CA.

 

Responsibilities 

  • Design, develop, and implement multiplatform, multiplayer game and application features.
  • Manage a multitude of tasks related to all game systems, including networked multiplayer action gameplay in a dynamic, small-team environment.
  • Track feature development and ensure project is on schedule.
  • Implement, test, debug and maintain source code for game systems.
  • Work closely with artists, producers, and other designers within a positive, creative team environment.

 

Requirements

  • BS or higher in Computer Science or similar discipline (EE, Math, Physics, etc.), or equivalent work experience.
  • Experience developing multiplatform games with Unity.
  • Solid experience in C# or Java, especially concerning interfaces, wrappers, and object-oriented design concepts.
  • Experience in programming user interfaces.
  • Passionate, task-driven, self-motivated, proactive, and a team player attitude.
  • Experience with multiplatform achievements or trophy systems a plus.
  • JavaScript & XML experience a plus.
  • Experience writing shaders and engine game tools a plus.
  • Experience with client-server architectures, network protocols (e.g. TCP/IP and UDP), and database-driven apps (PHP/MySQL) a plus.
  • Game design experience on shipped projects a plus.
  • A strong background in 3D math, trigonometry, and linear algebra a plus.
