Game Designer (Mobile Devices)
KingsIsle Entertainment is currently looking for a Game Designer to work on exciting and innovative games for mobile and tablet devices. We are the creators of the popular and critically acclaimed Wizard101 and Pirate101, which together have garnered over 35 Million registered players to date, and are two of the fastest growing websites in the U.S. This is an opportunity to be a part of a rapidly growing and highly successful entertainment company.
-Candidate will work to create fun and broadly appealing games for mobile and tablet devices.
-Collaborate with design leadership to design, implement, and iterate on innovative and compelling game experiences (could include control schemes, combat mechanics, level layout, puzzle design, monetization, etc.)
-Strong understanding of interrelated game systems in mobile game environments
-Strong communication skills, ability to effectively relate the design vision and requirements to programmers and artists
-Candidates must have 3+ years as a Designer in the games industry
-Candidate must have shipped at least one game title
-Extremely strong documentation skills
-Excellent verbal and written communication skills
-Strong math skills
-Proven ability to concept, create, and implement game systems (i.e. balancing tables and underlying game system formulas)
-Strong familiarity with mobile games, particularly those with a free-to-play business model
-Bachelor’s degree in related field
-Experience prototyping and designing games with shorter development cycles for mobile platforms
