GAME CAPTURE ARTIST

Hybrid agency/production company in West Hollywood is seeking a qualified & experienced GAME CAPTURE ARTIST. g-NET is a full-service creative agency and production facility that specializes in advertising & branded content.

The candidate will oversee and execute the capture of in-game footage for use in video game trailers and advertising. Essentially, you act as a director and cinematographer within the game, applying real-world camera techniques including shot selection, variable FOV/DOF and camera movement to get the best shot possible. We need someone who can push these games to their limits, taking specific direction when necessary.

Responsibilities

o Explore upcoming and unfinished games across all platforms.
o Work with technologies involved with a game in development, including debug features and console development hardware.
o Problem-solve to achieve the best possible results, while pushing the limitations of unfinished technology. Patience working with buggy or uncooperative builds.
o Perform with varying levels of supervision and direction, ranging from complete autonomy to working directly with an editor, producer or creative director.
o Work within a team environment to deliver outstanding video assets.

Required Skills

o Passion for video games. Knowledge of film, animation, etc.
o Strong visual aesthetic. Understanding of core visual concepts- composition, movement, etc. Background in photography, video or film preferred.
o Ability to work as part of a team, including clear communication and a positive attitude.
o Ability to adhere to strict NDAs.

Bonus Skills

o Working knowledge of editing software, specifically Final Cut Pro.
o Experience creating game videos or machinima.
o Experience with game engines and/or mod tools: Unreal, Unity, CryEngine, etc.
o Experience and familiarity with video game production and workflows.
